Scholarship Overview
The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and MassMutual are proud to offer financial assistance to outstanding students attending TMCF’s member schools that include 56 publicly-supported historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs), historically Black community colleges (HBCCs), publicly Black institutions (PBIs), medical and law schools. Five (5) scholars will be selected to receive a 2-year renewable scholarship up to $16,000 for 2025-2026 academic school year. The total eligible scholarship amount will be allocated in two installments: one during the Fall 2025 semester and the second during the Spring 2026 semester (which can only be applied to verifiable costs associated with average tuition and usual fees).

Eligibility Requirements:

Be a full-time enrolled student as an undergraduate junior at a four-year TMCF member school during the 2025-2026 academic school year
Pursuing a degree in actuarial-math, statistics, actuarial science, economics, finance, liberal arts, cyber security, computer science, data science, engineering, physics, operations and information management, general business majors, or procurement and supply chain management
Current cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher
Must have the 2025-2026 FAFSA on file at your selected university/college by the time of selection
Must be able to demonstrate a financial unmet need
Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551
Cannot be an employee, officer, consultant/service provider to or board member of partner or TMCF; or, a family member of any such individual
Recipients must meet ongoing eligibility criteria to qualify for up to $16,000 during their senior year
Scholarship Allocation:

The eligible total amount will be funded in two disbursements for the 2025-2026 academic year, based on the conditions outlined in the scholar’s contract.
